It was amazing to see the 5 aircraft carriers at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Here are 2 of them as seen from Port Orchard, across Sinclair Inlet. A police boat passes in front. I believe 4 of the 5 are mothballed - four aircraft carriers: the USS Independence (CV-62), the USS Constellation (CV-64), the USS Ranger (CV-61) and the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) - this according to according to Internet searches. The fifth, USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), was further away.

Robosaurus

Robosaurus entertains the crowd at Salinas Airshow. Giant robot modeled after a tyrannosaurus setting cars on fire and "eating" them. Quite the spectacle and clearly the high-point for most boys under the age of 10 at the show.
